Japan: Oman and Japan sign environmental agreement
The Environment Authority and Japan's Ministry of Environment signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) on environmental matters.
The MoC aims to establish a framework for cooperation based on equality, reciprocity and mutual benefits.
The MoC seeks to enhance cooperation towards the realisation of sustainable development and the implementation of multilateral environmental agreements, such as the Paris Agreement.
The MoC was signed by Abdullah Alamri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, and Matsuzawa Yutaka, Japan's Vice-Minister for Global Environmental Affairs.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kiyoshi Serizawa, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman.
