Minister says Oman Iran relations are based on respect, trust, and positive cooperation
In the light of the Iranian President's official visit to Oman, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting that these ties have extended through the ages and are deeply rooted and well-established.
They are marked by mutual respect, trust, and positive cooperation serving the interests of both neighbouring peoples and the region as a whole, he added.
Speaking to the media, he added: “We look forward to building on this visit by the Iranian President as a starting point for a new phase of relations, advancing them to broader and more ambitious horizons across political, diplomatic, economic, trade, and cultural fields.”
Regarding talks on the Iranian nuclear issue, the Foreign Minister said: “Discussions are ongoing, and we hope they will reach a satisfactory outcome for both sides, in a way that promotes security and stability on these global issues.”
