Minister meets with EU External Action Service

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received at the Ministry, Olof Skoog, Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the European External Action Service, the European Union's diplomatic service.

The meeting affirmed the strength of the partnership between the Sultanate of  Oman and the European Union and their shared commitment to enhancing cooperation in diplomatic, political, economic, and technical fields.

The meeting also discussed developments in the Ukraine crisis and the Palestinian issue, particularly the humanitarian situation in Gaza, underlining the need for a permanent ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access.

Mr Skoog praised Oman’s prominent role and tireless efforts in the US Iranian talks, expressing the hope that they would contribute to greater security, stability, and peace.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs.
