Egypt: Omani and Egyptian companies sign investment agreement

An industrial investment agreement worth one million Omani rials (2.6 million US dollars) was signed at the Omani embassy in Cairo, between ZEINOX company and the LADAYN Programme, affiliated with the  OQ Group.

Ambassador Abdullah Alrahbi, Oman's Ambassador to Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League, said that the LADAYN programme represents a promising step in developing and attracting investment in the plastics industry, adding that it enhances the utilisation of raw materials abundant in Oman and promotes the exchange of expertise and industrial integration between the two brotherly countries.

The Ambassador praised the important role played by business executives from both Oman and Egypt, describing them as key to strengthening bilateral relations and translating them into practical projects.

He noted that both countries enjoy inviting  investment advantages and strategic geographical locations that offer vast opportunities for cooperation and integration.

He stated that the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo operates within the framework of economic diplomacy, which is a key pillar of Oman Vision 2040. This aims to diversify sources of income and position Oman as an attractive hub for investment.

Dr Shadi El-Zeiny, one of the Directors of ZEINOX Global, said that establishing a factory in Oman would contribute to creating job opportunities for Omani citizens. He said the project would provide high-quality products to meet the demands of local, regional, and international markets, adding that it would benefit from the exceptional advantages and incentives offered by Oman across various sectors.
