Egypt: Ambassador at emergency meeting of Council of the Arab League

31 December 2025

Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, took part in the emergency meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent representatives.

The meeting condemned the Israeli recognition of the so called “Somaliland”.

During the meeting, the Ambassador reaffirmed Oman’s firm and supportive position towards the Federal Republic of Somalia. He conveyed Oman’s full solidarity with Somalia in the face of any act that undermines its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He also underlined Oman’s rejection of any unilateral decisions or measures that violate the rules and principles of international law. Such actions create disputes or impose changes on internationally recognised situations and systems.

The Ambassador noted that this position aligns with Oman’s vision and foreign policy. That policy is based on respect for state sovereignty, non interference in internal affairs and support for peaceful solutions that safeguard regional and international security and stability.
