
Brunei: Embassy celebrates National Day
The Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy to Brunei Darussalam held a reception to mark National Day.
In her address, Ambassador Erma Alkathiry, Oman’s Ambassador to Brunei, spoke about the profound significance of the National Day and Oman’s long history since the establishment of the Albusaidi state on 20 November 1744, when the founding Imam Ahmed bin Said Albusaidi unified the nation.

The Ambassador praised the relations between Oman and Brunei and the cooperation between the two friendly countries. The reception featured documentary films showcasing Oman’s history and heritage, as well as the economic progress taking place across various fields.
On the sidelines of the reception, the Embassy organised a cultural exhibition displaying traditional artefacts and photographs of key heritage, cultural and tourism sites in Oman, along with major landmarks of the Omani renaissance. The exhibition also included brochures promoting promising investment opportunities in Oman.

The reception was attended by Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metusin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; a number of officials in Brunei Darussalam and Omani citizens.
