Minister discusses regional developments with Bahrani counterpart

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, who is on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting reviewed the strong brotherly relations between the two countries, highlighting their shared commitment to advance cooperation in support of mutual interests.

The Ministers also discussed preparations for the forthcoming session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council  which the Kingdom of Bahrain will host on December 3. They noted the importance of continued coordination to achieve the objectives of joint Gulf action.

They exchanged views on regional and international developments and reaffirmed support for efforts aimed at promoting security and stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Director of the Ministry’s Department for the GCC and Region; Dr Jumaa Al Kaabi, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Oman and a number of officials from both countries.
