13 November 2025

The Foreign Ministry announces that the Government of the friendly People’s Republic of China has decided to extend the exemption of citizens of the Sultanate of Oman from entry visa requirements when travelling to China. This applies to holders of ordinary passports, until December 31, 2026.

Omani citizens can stay in China for 30 days from the date of entry, without the need for a prior visa, for the purposes of trade, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, participating in cultural activities or other non-work-related purposes.

The Ministry emphasises that citizens wishing to travel to China must ensure that their passport is valid for at least 6 months, and they have health insurance to cover the period of their stay. The Ministry wishes all citizens a safe and successful journey.
