
Minister attends Angola’s 50th Independence Anniversary Celebrations
On Royal Assignment from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi attended the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Angola.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished leaders, presidents from various countries around the world and senior officials from Angola.
President João Lourenço of Angola delivered a wide ranging speech on the occasion, followed by popular parades and artistic and cultural performances showcasing Angola’s development journey since independence. The Angolan armed forces also presented a variety of military displays.

In a statement, Sayyid Badr expressed Oman’s sincere congratulations to the Republic of Angola — its leadership, government and people — on this national anniversary, wishing the country continued progress and prosperity. He affirmed Oman’s keenness to strengthen the bonds of friendship and economic partnership and to expand the horizons of cooperation to serve mutual interests and achieve sustainable development for the two friendly nations and their peoples.
