
Minister meets Angolan President
Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço of the Republic of Angola, in the capital Luanda, as part of his participation in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Angola’s independence
The Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the Angolan President, along with his best wishes for his good health and happiness, and for continued progress and prosperity for the friendly people of Angola.

The President asked the Minister to convey his greetings to His Majesty and his best wishes to Oman and its people for continued prosperity and progress. He affirmed his country’s aspiration to expand cooperation and partnership with the Sultanate of Oman to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly nations and peoples.
The meeting reviewed relations between Oman and Angola and their steady growth in economic, trade and investment fields. It also discussed potential cooperation in areas such as energy, minerals, fisheries, transport, logistics, education and training.
The President and the Minister commended the good relations between the two countries, particularly following the official visit of the Angolan President to Oman in December 2024. They reaffirmed their shared keenness to enhance coordination and exchange expertise in support of achieving the sustainable development goals of the two friendly countries.
