
Minister meets Spanish counterpart in Madrid
As part of the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the friendly Kingdom of Spain, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with José Manuel Albares Bueno, Spain’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation.
The meeting reviewed the distinguished relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain and ways to strengthen them across various fields. It also discussed existing cooperation in economic, investment, trade, educational, and cultural areas, in line with the two countries’ aspirations for deeper partnership and integration.

The two Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, reaffirming the importance of continuing joint coordination and supporting international efforts aimed at promoting security, stability, and peace in the region and the world.
The meeting was attended by Thamer Alalawi, Oman’s Ambassador to Spain; Francisco Javier de Isturiz Simonet, Spain’s Ambassador to Oman, and a number of officials from both delegations.
