His Majesty concludes his visit to Belarus

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed the friendly Republic of Belarus, concluding a two-day State Visit.

His Majesty was seen off at Minsk International Airport by President Alexander Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus; Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich; Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhenkov and a number of senior Belarusian officials.

His Majesty sent a cable of thanks and appreciation to President Alexander Lukashenko, expressing his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to him and his accompanying delegation.

His Majesty praised the outcome of his meeting with the President, which provided an opportunity to strengthen areas of cooperation and consolidate the close relations between the two friendly countries. He affirmed the importance of opening new horizons for partnership and investment in a way that serves their mutual interests. His Majesty wished the President continued success in achieving the aspirations of the friendly Belarusian people for greater progress and prosperity.

Accompanying His Majesty during the visit was a high-level official delegation comprising: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Royal Office; Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister ; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Qais Alyousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Ambassador Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.
