Advantage Oman business dialogue held in Indonesia

6 October 2025

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion is organising the “Advantage Oman–Indonesia Business Dialogue” in the Indonesian capital Jakarta from October 6 to 9, 2025.

The dialogue will bring together a distinguished group of senior investors and chief executives representing more than 30 companies in Indonesia.

It will focus on strategic economic sectors of mutual priority, including mining, manufacturing, food security, tourism and aviation, with the aim of highlighting promising investment opportunities in Oman and enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Indonesia is the third in the Investment Promotion Department’s visits to target markets this year, following successful roadshows in India and Canada in September.

The dialogue will serve as an effective platform for direct engagement between Omani and Indonesian business communities, helping to open new horizons for partnerships and to exchange perspectives on the best ways to harness the economic potential of both countries.

The Omani delegation will also deliver a comprehensive presentation on Oman’s competitive advantages, such as its strategic geographic position as a gateway to the Middle East and North Africa, its long-term political and economic stability, major ongoing development projects, and the government incentives and facilitation measures that make Oman’s business environment increasingly attractive and efficient for both local and international investors.

She added that such efforts support long-term partnerships and contribute to the economic development of both countries.

Mohammed Allawati, Director of the Investment Promotion Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, stated that the Indonesian market is among the key target countries on the October 2025 list. He noted that this dialogue reflects Oman’s commitment to expanding its economic network across Asia and strengthens direct engagement with Indonesian investors by presenting promising investment opportunities.

The “Advantage Oman–Indonesia” Business Dialogue is part of a series of international initiatives aimed at reinforcing Oman’s position as a regional investment hub and creating new opportunities for economic partnerships with global markets.

The targeted countries are considered promising strategic partners, offering tangible opportunities to develop high-value investments in emerging economic sectors, and to support innovation and technology transfer between Oman and these markets.
