Oman and Armenia hold political talks
The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Armenia held a fifth round of political consultations in the Armenian capital, Yerevan.
The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, while the Armenian delegation was headed by Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Foreign Minister.
The session reviewed areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance that cooperation across various fields.
Sheikh Khalifa, welcomed the Republic of Armenia’s decision to open a resident embassy in Muscat and to exempt Omani citizens from tourist visa requirements to enter Armenia. He informed the Armenian delegation of Oman’s decision to include Armenian citizens on the list of countries exempted from entry visa requirements to visit the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting also saw an exchange of views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
