Shabab Oman II embodies friendship and cultural exchange
The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) ship Shabab Oman II reflects the Sultanate's values of friendship and cultural exchange, and supports Oman Vision 2040 by helping to establish a strong global presence for Oman.
Shabab Oman II recently won the International Friendship Award at the 2025 Tall Ships Races, in Esbjerg, Denmark, as part of its voyage “Glories of the Seas 2025”. This is the fifth time that Shabab Oman has won the Friendship Award.
The ship has a crew of 90 young men and women from the Sultanate of Oman.
The voyage “Glories of the Seas 2025” in numbers :

- 15 countries visited
- 18,000 nautical miles sailed
- A 6 month voyage
This voyage of peace from Oman builds bridges of understanding between East and West, embodying the values of friendship and cultural exchange, while supporting Oman Vision 2040 by helping to establish a strong global presence.
