Minister discusses cooperation & regional developments with UK counterpart

A phone call took place between Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and the United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary David Lammy. The conversation covered strategic cooperation between the two friendly countries and followed up on joint programmes related to investment and economic development.

As part of their consultations, the two Ministers exchanged views on the Iranian nuclear issue and ways to revive the diplomatic track and political negotiations to ensure lasting security and stability, and to spare the region and its peoples the risks of escalation and war.

Discussions also focused on intensifying efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and reviving reconstruction efforts and the peace process in the Middle East.
