France: Shabab Oman II wins award at Sailing Festival

The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) ship Shabab Oman II has been awarded the Best Crew Award for 2025 during its participation in the Le Havre Sailing Festival in France.

The award recognises the crew's outstanding performance, high discipline, and remarkable interaction, which contribute to its mission to build bridges of friendship and understanding between the Sultanate of Oman and the peoples of the world.

When Shabab Oman II docked in Le Havre, the ship and its crew were welcomed by Ahmed Bin Mohamed Bin Nasser Alaraimi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the French Republic, in the presence of other Ambassadors and French officials.

The vessel is taking part in the Festival during its seventh international voyage to Europe entitled “Glories of the Seas 2025”  through which it seeks to enhance Oman's presence in international forums and highlight the Sultanate's long-standing maritime role in various global arenas.
