Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and his sincere wishes to the Emir and to the State of Qatar for continued progress, prosperity, security, and stability.

He reaffirmed the deep fraternal ties between the two brotherly countries and the shared destiny that unites all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

The meeting reviewed the Iranian missile strike on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on the evening of Monday June 23, 2025. The attack was deemed a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty over its territory and airspace, a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a disregard for the principles of good neighbourliness.

The Foreign Ministers expressed the full solidarity of GCC states with Qatar and their unequivocal support for the measures it takes to safeguard its security and sovereignty. They stressed the urgent need for collective efforts to contain the escalation and reinforce the ceasefire between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel. Israel's unlawful and brutal missile attack on Iranian territory on June 13 triggered the crisis and the subsequent direct involvement of the United States in the conflict.
