His Majesty receives a phone call from the Iranian President

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call from President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The call reviewed the latest developments in the worrying regional escalation and recent military tensions, underlining the importance of safeguarding the region’s security and stability.

The two leaders emphasised the need for all parties to exercise restraint, prioritise wisdom and dialogue, and work seriously to halt the cycle of military escalation, in order to prevent further tensions and open the door to diplomatic solutions.

President Pezeshkian expressed his deep appreciation for Oman’s balanced stance and its role in supporting regional security and fostering calm. He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to cooperating to prevent further escalation in the region.
