Oman steps up diplomacy to contain regional escalation and protect citizens

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi continued his discussions with counterparts in brotherly and friendly countries to address the regional tensions triggered by Israeli pre-emptive strikes on Iran and the subsequent Iranian response, amid ongoing escalation since Friday.

He underscored the urgent need to end this tragic war that threatens regional security, calling for intensified diplomatic pressure to revive the political track.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry is continuing its efforts to protect Omani citizens in high-risk areas by coordinating evacuation operations and ensuring their safe return.

The Ministry once again urges citizens to avoid areas of tension and to remain in contact with the Ministry’s operations centre and Oman's embassies in Tehran and neighbouring countries for the necessary support.
