More than 300 Omani citizens return from Iran
A group of more than 300 Omani citizens have returned safely from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Sultanate. The operation was part of the Foreign Ministry's plan to facilitate the return home of Omani citizens in an organised manner and was implemented in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The operation, coordinated with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tehran, saw the secure transfer of 313 citizens through the port of Bandar Abbas.
A group of citizens also successfully passed through the Shalamcheh border crossing into Iraq in preparation for their return to the Sultanate.
The Ministry expressed its gratitude and appreciation to all the bodies that contributed to the success of this phase of the operation, adding that efforts are continuing around the clock to facilitate the return of the remaining Omani citizens in Iran and to ensure their safe arrival home.
