Preparatory meeting held for Omani-Egyptian Joint Committee

Senior officials held  a preparatory meeting for the 16th session of the Omani-Egyptian Joint Committee.

Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Arab Department, chaired for Oman, and Ambassador Ihab Fahmy, Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, chaired for Egypt, with the participation of committee members from both countries representing various sectors.

The meeting discussed areas of cooperation between the two brotherly countries, listed on the agenda of the Joint Committee, as well as drafting Memorandums of Understanding and executive programmes for cooperation across various sectors. These will be submitted to the ministerial meeting of the Omani-Egyptian Joint Committee in its 16th session, scheduled to be held in Cairo in mid-June.
