Algeria: Energy Minister discusses investment opportunities with Oman

Algerian Minister of Energy, Mining and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, received Omani business leader Sheikh Mohammed Albarwani, Chairman of MB LLC (Mohammed al Barwani LLC).

The meeting was attended by Saif Nasser Rashid Al Badaai, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, and the Secretary of State to the Minister of Energy in charge of Mines.

The meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation and investment in the fields of energy, mining and renewable energies—particularly with regard to the hydrocarbons sector, field development, downstream industries, petrochemicals and strategic mining projects such as the exploration and processing of phosphate, iron, copper and zinc.
