Oman showcases economic diplomacy at 13th Annual China Round Table

Ambassador Dr Afkar bin Nazim Al Farsi, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Department of International Trade, Knowledge Economy and Technology, took part in a special event titled “Oman’s Economic Diplomacy: Leveraging Trade for Regional Prosperity” as part of the 13th China Round Table (CRT). This session was hosted by the Sultanate of Oman on China’s accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

The event discussed the current challenges facing the multilateral trading system.

It also reviewed Oman’s strategic approach to utilising economic diplomacy in strengthening its engagement with the World Trade Organisation, developing regional and international partnerships, and promoting sustainable growth and economic diversification.
