Oman and Spain hold political consultations in Muscat

The fourth round of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain took place in Muscat at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

The Omani delegation was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs. The Spanish delegation was led by Diego Martínez Belío, State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs.

The consultations reviewed existing relations between the two friendly countries and affirmed a shared keenness to continue developing cooperation in trade and investment, energy and culture. There was also an exchange of views on a number of regional issues and international developments.

The session was attended by Mundhir Almundhiri, Head of the Ministry's Europe Department, and Francisco Javier de Esturiz Simón, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the Sultanate of Oman, along with officials from both Oman and Spain.
