Oman calls for dialogue and de-escalation in Yemen

The Sultanate of Oman is monitoring developments related to the Republic of Yemen. It reaffirms its continuing call for restraint and wisdom to prevail. It calls for addressing all issues through dialogue and through consensus and constructive understanding. This approach serves Yemen’s security and interests, as well as the national security of neighbouring countries.

Oman also expresses its support for calls to reduce and contain escalation and to address the root causes of the crisis. It underlines the importance of respecting the sovereignty, security and stability of the Republic of Yemen and the will of its people. It also calls for reaching political, consensus-based solutions that contribute to peace and harmony for all.
