Oman welcomes Muscat agreement on exchange of prisoners in Yemen
The Sultanate of Oman welcomes the agreement signed in Muscat today for the exchange of prisoners in Yemen.
Oman appreciates the positive spirit that prevailed during the negotiations from December 9 to 23, and commends the cooperation of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the efforts of the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and all parties involved in the negotiations.
This cooperation contributed to reaching this important humanitarian agreement, which, it is hoped, will pave the way for addressing the remaining issues related to the situation in the sisterly Republic of Yemen.
