
His Majesty arrives in Bahrain
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain to attend the forty-sixth summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Upon arrival at Sakhir Air Base, His Majesty was received by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, who welcomed His Majesty and his accompanying delegation.

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik then proceeded between two rows of the Bahraini Royal Guard. He then greeted senior Bahraini officials, including Jasem bin Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC; Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice Islamic Affairs and Endowments; Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Information; Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate; Sayyid Faisal Albusaidi, The Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain; Dr Jumaa bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Oman, and a number of military commanders.
Prince Salman then escorted His Majesty to the reception hall. The Prince welcomed His Majesty warmly to his second home. His Majesty expressed sincere appreciation for the generous welcome and gracious hospitality.

His Majesty then proceeded with the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to Sakhir Palace, where His Majesty is staying.
