Oman and Indonesia hold political consultations

A second round of political consultations was held between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Indonesia at the Foreign Ministry.

The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs. Indonesia’s delegation was led by Mohammad Anis Matta, Indonesia’s Deputy Foreign Minister.

The meeting reviewed relations across various fields with a focus on economic cooperation, investment and cultural exchange. It also included an exchange of views on key regional and international developments of mutual interest.

At the end of the session, the two governments signed an agreement on the mutual waiver of visas for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Abdulaziz  Alhousni, Director of the Asia and Pacific Department, Ambassador Mohamad Irzan Djohan, Indonesia’s Ambassador to Oman and a number of officials from both countries.
