Oman and Bulgaria hold political talks

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held in-depth political consultations in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia, with Georg Georgiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

The talks focused on bilateral relations and on ways to enhance cooperation, and to explore partnership and investment opportunities across various sectors including energy, technology, trade, tourism, food security, logistics connectivity, and industry.

The Ministers also discussed regional and international developments, underscoring the need for a ceasefire in Gaza, the importance of ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid and supporting international efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in line with international law. They also touched on a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the field of energy. It was signed on behalf of Oman by Sayyid Badr, and on behalf of Bulgaria by Minister of Energy, Zhecho Stankov.

The talks were attended by Yousuf Aljabri, Non–resident Ambassador of Oman to Republic of Bulgaria, Munther Almandhri, Head of the Europe Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with several officials from both countries.
