245 citizens return from Iran via Bandar Abbas

As part of the Foreign Ministry’s plan to facilitate the return of Omani citizens from abroad, and within the framework of the organised evacuation phases carried out in coordination with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Tehran, the second phase of the evacuation plan was implemented.

This phase included the safe return of 245 citizens, along with a number of nationals from other countries, via Bandar Abbas, following coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure their safety and smooth transit.

In a related development, 10 buses were dispatched to transport citizens from northern parts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the border crossing with the Republic of Türkiye, in addition to 3 buses sent to the Shalamcheh border crossing with the Republic of Iraq, in preparation for their evacuation in coordination with the relevant authorities in the neighbouring countries.
