His Majesty hold talks with Spanish Prime Minister

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Pedro Sánchez, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain, held a meeting at the The Palace of Moncloa in Madrid as part of His Majesty’s visit to the Kingdom of Spain.

The meeting reviewed the close historical relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them to achieve greater mutual benefits for their friendly peoples. It also discussed the latest international developments and issues of common interest.

An expanded official session of talks was then held in the presence of the Omani official delegation and their Spanish counterparts.

The session reviewed cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Spain, founded on solid principles of mutual respect and shared interests. The discussions underlined the importance of broadening areas of partnership and investment, particularly in the sectors of energy, renewable energy, logistics, food security, manufacturing, aquaculture, and agricultural production.

The two countries also highlighted the need to promote cultural and educational exchanges to meet their future aspirations and enhance mutual benefits.

Before the session of talks, His Majesty was photographed with the Spanish Prime Minister, and His Majesty also wrote a note in the guest book.
