His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> left the country this morning for the friendly People’s Republic of China on a two-day State visit, in response to a kind invitation from President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Upon His Majesty’s departure from the Royal Airport, he was seen off by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of State and Governor of Muscat; His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad Al Said, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Oman; Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council; Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council; Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs; Dr Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education; Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthi, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers; Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs; Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces; Major General Matar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Major General Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman; Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman; and Major General Muslim bin Mohammed bin Taman Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.<\/p>\n

His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied on the visit by a high-level official delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office; Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi<\/a>; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority<\/a>; Engineer Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology<\/a>; Ahmed bin Jaafar Al Musalmi, Governor of the Central Bank of Oman<\/a>; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion<\/a>; and Ambassador Anwar bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Muqaibal, Oman’s appointed Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China<\/a>.<\/p>\n
