The state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> to the Republic of Angola represents an important milestone in relations between the two countries and in the Sultanate of Oman\u2019s relations with countries and peoples around the world.<\/p>\n

The visit is expected to strengthen partnerships across various fields, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.<\/p>\n

\"Oman-Angola<\/p>\n

Registered investments with Angolan participation in Oman have grown in recent years. The private sectors in both countries have opportunities to increase bilateral trade and diversify the range of goods and services exchanged, enabling companies to benefit from promising markets in both countries.<\/p>\n

\"Oman-Angola<\/p>\n

The official visit of President Jo\u00e3o Manuel Louren\u00e7o of the Republic of Angola<\/a> to Oman in December 2024<\/a> marked a major milestone in relations.<\/p>\n

The visit resulted in the signing of an agreement to acquire a stake in the Catoca and Luele mines in Angola, along with two Memoranda of Understanding. The first covered cooperation in the energy sector, while the second focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation in financial and strategic initiatives.<\/p>\n

\"Oman-Angola<\/p>\n

Since the Angolan President\u2019s visit to Oman, relations have seen continued momentum through reciprocal visits by officials, government entities and representatives of the private sector and state-owned companies from both countries. The visits have covered various areas of bilateral cooperation, reflecting a shared commitment to following up on agreements and expanding cooperation and investment.<\/p>\n

As part of this continued engagement and on His Majesty’s service, Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi<\/a> participated in celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Angola\u2019s independence in the capital, Luanda.<\/p>\n

Abdullah Al Rahbi, the Sultanate of Oman\u2019s non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Angola,<\/a> told the Oman News Agency that the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Angola reflects the growing relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n

He said Oman and Angola share a broad range of approaches and objectives aimed at promoting peace and stability and achieving development, well-being and prosperity for the peoples of both countries.<\/p>\n

Faisal Al Rawas, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI),<\/a> told the Oman News Agency that the diverse capabilities and resources of Oman and Angola provide a strong foundation for developing economic relations and establishing effective partnerships that support economic diversification and deliver mutual benefits.<\/p>\n

The OCCI chair said the energy, mining, agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing, infrastructure and logistics sectors offer significant opportunities for cooperation through the exchange of expertise and the development of investments that can increase production and enhance local added value.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
