Oman affirms that the decision violates international law and is contrary to relevant resolutions of international legitimacy, foremost among them UN Security Council Resolution 497 of 1981.<\/p>\n<p>The Sultanate of Oman reiterates its firm position that the Golan is occupied Syrian territory and reaffirms its support for the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic over all its territory and for its unity.
