{"id":51284,"date":"2026-07-21T06:05:33","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T06:05:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/?p=51284"},"modified":"2026-07-21T09:16:02","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T09:16:02","slug":"oman-philippines-strategic-majlis-to-be-held-in-manila","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/51284\/","title":{"rendered":"Oman-Philippines Strategic Majlis to be held in Manila"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The third Oman\u2013Philippines Strategic Majlis will take place in Manila on Sunday July 26, bringing together senior government officials, business leaders, and key stakeholders from both countries to deepen bilateral cooperation and explore new opportunities for partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Oman\u2019s delegation will be led by Foreign Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/ministry\/about-us\/key-figures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi,<\/a> and will include\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mol.gov.om\/pages\/About-Ministry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baowain, Minister of Labour<\/a>; Muneer Al Muneeri, Deputy President of Operations at the <a href=\"https:\/\/oia.gov.om\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oman Investment Authority;<\/a> Nasser bin Said Almanwari, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/missions\/om-ph-manila-em\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of the Philippines<\/a>; and representatives from public and private sector institutions.<\/p>\n<p>This landmark gathering will focus on investment and trade opportunities, tourism, technology, logistics and connectivity, fisheries, and agriculture. It will serve as a platform to strengthen dialogue, advance strategic cooperation, and identify practical areas for collaboration between Oman and the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>The official logo for the Oman\u2013Philippines Strategic Majlis has also been unveiled, establishing a distinctive visual identity for the forum. Designed by Brand Oman in collaboration with the Foreign Ministry, the logo forms part of Oman\u2019s broader economic diplomacy agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The logo draws on the upward arrow, a universal symbol of progress, growth, and forward momentum. Merging this motif with Omani identity, it reflects the confidence of the <a href=\"https:\/\/investoman.om\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Invest Oman<\/a> pathway, the deep-rooted connection between Oman and the Philippines, and the human-centred message of \u201cLive Oman.\u201d Together, these elements capture the forum\u2019s journey across three interconnected milestones.<\/p>\n<p>The Oman-Philippines Strategic Forum represents a crucial platform for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancing economic ties: Exploring opportunities to increase bilateral trade, attract investment, and promote joint ventures in priority sectors.<\/li>\n<li>Fostering diplomatic relations: Reaffirming both countries\u2019 commitment to constructive dialogue, peace, stability, and shared regional and international interests.<\/li>\n<li>Driving innovation and collaboration: Identifying partnerships in emerging sectors, including technology, energy, fisheries, agriculture, logistics, and transport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ambassador Al Manwari, Head of Oman\u2019s Mission to the Philippines said: \u201cOman views the Oman\u2013Philippines Strategic Majlis as an exceptional opportunity to further strengthen our robust and growing relationship with the Philippines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe launch of the event\u2019s logo by Brand Oman underscores our commitment to leveraging economic diplomacy to build stronger international bridges and drive tangible outcomes,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to constructive discussions that will pave the way for mutually beneficial collaboration and contribute to the prosperity of both nations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Noralyn Jubaira Baja, Head of the Philippines&#8217; Mission to Oman said: \u201cThis Forum represents a historic turning point in the Philippine-Oman relationship.
