The Oman Tanzania Business Forum explored opportunities to strengthen trade and investment cooperation, focusing on building new business partnerships and enhancing understanding of export and import procedures between the two countries.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair<\/a> (Saba Saba 2026), the Oman Products Promotion Team (OPEX), in cooperation with the Sultanate of Oman’s Embassy in Tanzania,<\/a> also discussed opportunities to expand market access for Omani products by securing agents and distributors in the Tanzanian market and neighbouring countries, with the aim of increasing Oman’s exports.<\/p>\n

Saud Al Shaidani, Oman’s Ambassador to Tanzania,<\/a> said the Forum was organised to strengthen direct engagement between business leaders and explore partnership and investment opportunities that support the expansion of economic and trade relations between Oman and Tanzania.<\/p>\n

He added that the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Saba Saba) provides an important platform to enhance the presence of Omani products in African markets, noting that it is one of the leading trade exhibitions in Tanzania and East Africa.<\/p>\n

Dr Abdullah bin Masoud Al Harthi, Board Member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry<\/a>, said the Forum reflected the shared commitment of Oman and Tanzania to deepen economic, trade and investment cooperation and explore new partnership opportunities across sectors of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

Johnny Olanga, Director of Economic Diplomacy at Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation,<\/a> said the meetings between business leaders from the two countries marked an important step towards strengthening economic and trade relations and creating new opportunities for investment and cooperation.<\/p>\n

The Forum featured presentations by Madayn, the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates,<\/a> and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighting their strategic objectives to attract high quality investment, develop the industrial sector, support the growth of small and medium sized enterprises, increase Oman’s exports and promote economic diversification.<\/p>\n

Through the forum, the OPEX team aims to boost Oman’s exports, to strengthen trade relations, make greater use of economic agreements, increase trade, reinforce Oman’s position as a regional industrial and commercial hub, support economic diversification, enhance the competitiveness of Omani products, open new opportunities for national companies, increase non oil exports and attract investment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
