His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> met with Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom,<\/a> at 10 Downing Street in London.<\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed the deep-rooted and enduring historical ties between the two friendly nations. Discussions focussed on ways to further develop the strategic partnership to advance shared interests and to unlock broader prospects for cooperation across multiple domains\u2014in fulfilment of the mutual aspirations of the Omani and British peoples for sustained growth and prosperity.<\/p>\n

The meeting also addressed regional developments, with an exchange of perspectives on effective pathways toward de-escalation and conflict prevention, and ways to support ongoing negotiations and diplomatic initiatives aimed at restoring safe and secure maritime navigation through the Gulf’s strategic waterways.<\/p>\n

In addition, the meeting explored avenues for reaching a comprehensive and lasting agreement on outstanding issues\u2014foremost among them the Iranian nuclear file\u2014in a way that supports regional stability, fosters peaceful coexistence and promotes constructive engagement among all neighbouring states in the region.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended from Oman by Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister<\/a> and Badr Almantheri, Oman’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom.<\/a><\/p>\n
