The Sultanate of Oman, represented by Asyad Ports and Free Zones company<\/a> (a subsidiary of the Asyad Group) and the Republic of Sudan, represented by the Sea Ports Authority<\/a>, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at consolidating cooperation in the fields of ports, maritime transport and logistics services.<\/p>\n

The MoU seeks to support economic development, boost supply chains and enhance maritime integration between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The signing took place in a meeting between Engineer Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology,<\/a> and Saif Al Nasr Al Tijani, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport in the Republic of Sudan, who is currently visiting Oman.<\/p>\n

The meeting discussed cooperation in the fields of transport, ports and logistics services. It also explored ways to upgrade cooperation in a manner that better serves the common interests of the two countries.<\/p>\n

The MoU provides for the exchange of expertise in planning and developing ports and related infrastructure, in addition to organising training programmes and visits between technical and administrative staff.<\/p>\n

The MoU was signed by Omar bin Mahmood Al Mahrizi, CEO of Asyad Ports and Free Zones, and Engineer Jilani Mohammed Jilani, Director General of the Sudan Sea Ports Corporation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
