In line with Oman’s responsibility towards the Strait of Hormuz and its importance to the global economy, and in accordance with its firm commitment to international law and the Law of the Sea, ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait without the imposition of transit fees, and consistent with the outcomes of the efforts and initiatives reached by the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Oman has worked in coordination with the International Maritime Organization to make available the option of a temporary maritime corridor for all vessels, in accordance with the coordinates announced by the International Maritime Organization and the competent Omani authorities.<\/p>\n

Vessels wishing to transit through the corridor should coordinate with the International Maritime Organization<\/a>.<\/p>\n
