Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, President of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones<\/a>, met Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court<\/a>, in Abu Dhabi to advance economic and investment cooperation in economic and free zones and industrial cities.<\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed areas of economic cooperation and opportunities for integration between the economic and free zones in the two countries. It also discussed investment opportunities in the industrial, logistics and advanced technology sectors.<\/p>\n

The President also met Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)<\/a>, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority<\/a>, along with officials, investors and entrepreneurs from various economic sectors.<\/p>\n

The meetings explored opportunities to strengthen economic and investment cooperation, and to exchange expertise and knowledge in the development of economic and free zones, advanced industrial technologies and urban living models in economic cities. They also addressed best practices for improving the business environment, supporting the competitiveness of economic zones and enhancing the attraction of quality investments and regional supply chains.<\/p>\n

A meeting was also held with the operator of the Al Rawdah Special Economic Zone to review project developments, discuss required support and enhance local value creation.<\/p>\n

The meetings were attended by Dr Ahmed bin Hilal Albusaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates<\/a>, Sheikh Salem bin Muslim Al Kathiri, Head of the Oman Commercial Office in Dubai and officials from both countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
