His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> received Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand<\/a>, at Al Barakah Palace.<\/p>\n

The guest conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn of the Kingdom of Thailand to His Majesty and his wishes for His Majesty\u2019s continued health and happiness and his wishes for \u00a0further progress and prosperity the Omani people<\/p>\n

His Majesty asked the guest to convey his greetings to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn along with his best wishes for good health and wellbeing as well as his wishes \u00a0for continued progress and growth for the Thai people.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the guest expressed the appreciation of the government and people of Thailand for Oman\u2019s swift response and constructive humanitarian cooperation in evacuating the crew of a Thai vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership across various economic and commercial sectors to further mutual benefits and interests. The meeting also discussed strengthening cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The meeting also addressed regional and international issues and developments as well as the repercussions of current conditions on the global economy and the security and safety of maritime navigation. The guest listened to His Majesty’s assessment of these developments and praised His Majesty\u2019s wisdom in dealing with them through dialogue and support for diplomatic and political avenues to understand and address the causes and motivations of these issues.<\/p>\n
