His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> received Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic<\/a>, at Al Barakah Palace.<\/p>\n

His Majesty welcomed the guest and her accompanying official delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in the Sultanate of Oman. For her part, the Prime Minister expressed her delight with this visit, appreciating His Majesty’s warm welcome and hospitality.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of President Sergio Mattarella of the Italian Republic<\/a> to His Majesty, along with his best wishes for good health and well-being.<\/p>\n

President Mattarella also wished His Majesty success in realising further progress, prosperity and comprehensive development under his wise leadership of the Renewed Renaissance.<\/p>\n

His Majesty in turn asked the Prime Minister to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Italian President. His Majesty affirmed his aspiration to enhance coperation and partnership between the two countries in various fields to serve mutual interests.<\/p>\n

His Majesty and the Italian Prime Minister then held a session of talks, during which they reviewed the existing cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop that cooperation.<\/p>\n

They also discussed investment opportunities, particularly in the sectors of industry, energy, modern technologies, food security, and tourism, as well as in the fields of culture and education.<\/p>\n

They also exchanged views on regional and international developments.<\/p>\n

The session was attended from Oman by General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister;<\/a> Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshadi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority; <\/a>Hussain bin Ali bin Abdullatif, Adviser at the Private Office; and His Highness Sayyid Nizar bin Al Julanda Al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to Italy.<\/a><\/p>\n

The \u00a0discussions were \u00a0attended from Italy by Pierluigi D’Elia, Ambassador to Oman;<\/a> Fabrizio Saggio, Diplomatic Adviser to the Italian Prime Minister; General Franco Federici, Military Adviser to the Italian Prime Minister, and officials at the Italian Government.<\/p>\n
