He noted Oman\u2019s interest in maintaining positive and beneficial relations with the organisation and praised the Director General\u2019s contribution to advancing relevant frameworks and concepts, and his commitment to promoting social justice and respect for cultures.<\/p>\n<p>The Director General commended the progress and achievements of Oman in labour policy, labour-market development and relations between production partners. He affirmed the ILO\u2019s commitment to continuing constructive cooperation and positive partnership with Oman across areas of mutual interest, especially skills development, capacity-building and support for training and employment programmes in line with national development priorities and the goals of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oman2040.om\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Oman Vision 2040.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The meeting also discussed prospects for cooperation and ways to make greater use of the ILO and its specialised programmes aimed at further developing labour legislation, enhancing labour market efficiency and strengthening institutional capacities.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by Khalid Alghamari, Undersecretary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Labour; Ruba Jaradat, ILO Regional Director for Arab States, and a number of officials.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unofficial English version of an Arabic report.
