His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> and Pedro S\u00e1nchez, Prime Minister of Spain<\/a>, presided over a signing ceremony at the Moncloa Palace in Madrid, of one agreement and six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two countries covering various fields.<\/p>\n

This took place during the state visit of His Majesty the Sultan to the Kingdom of Spain.<\/p>\n

The agreement pertains to a mutual visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Spain.<\/p>\n

The MoUs cover culture and sports, investment promotion, cooperation in agricultural, livestock, fisheries, and food security, water resources management and protection, clean energy and transport and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The agreement and MoUs were signed on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman by: Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; <\/a>Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion<\/a> and Engineer Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Spain, they were signed by: Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares, Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation;<\/a> Carlos Cuerpo, Minister of Economy, Trade and Business; and Luis Planas, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.<\/p>\n
