The 17th session of the Oman\u2013UK Joint Working Group was held, in London.<\/p>\n

The Omani delegation was chaired by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs<\/a>, while the British delegation was headed by Hamish Falconer, Under-Secretary of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan.<\/a><\/p>\n

The meeting reviewed various aspects of relations and discussed ways to further strengthen them to achieve desired outcomes. It also discussed prospects for further cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture, sports, and education and training.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the meeting, an agreement on the employment of diplomats\u2019 spouses was signed.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Badr Mohammed Badr Almantheri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland<\/a>; Dr Liane Saunders, the UK\u2019s Ambassador to Oman<\/a>, and representatives of government bodies in both countries.<\/p>\n
