{"id":28427,"date":"2025-09-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/28427\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T12:19:23","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T12:19:23","slug":"nccht-affirms-omans-commitment-to-protect-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/28427\/","title":{"rendered":"NCCHT affirms Oman&#8217;s commitment to protect society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nccht.om\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT)<\/a> has said that the issue of Royal Decree No. 78\/2025, which promulgated the \u201cLaw on Combating Human Trafficking\u201d, portrayed the Sultanate of Oman&#8217;s deep-rooted social and religious values of safeguarding human dignity and resisting injustice and exploitation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fm.gov.om\/ministry\/about-us\/key-figures\/#Khalifa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Political Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry \u00a0and Chairman of the NCCHT<\/a>, said that the law reflects Oman\u2019s commitment to protect society against anything that might threaten its security or stability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtecting human rights is an integral part of our national and social responsibilities\u201d, said the NCCHT Chairman, noting that the law is in line with international standards and reflects Oman\u2019s strong connection to noble human values,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the law strikes a balance between prevention and deterrence, while enhancing support for victims and ensuring the safety of all citizens and residents in Oman.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the law demonstrates that Oman will always remain a cradle for the dignity and security of its people and residents.<\/p>\n<p>This is an unofficial English version of an Arabic report.
