{"id":25958,"date":"2025-06-19T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-19T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/25958\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T11:59:53","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T11:59:53","slug":"sultan-qaboos-university-rises-in-world-university-rankings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/en\/25958\/","title":{"rendered":"Sultan Qaboos University rises in World University Rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.squ.edu.om\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sultan Qaboos University<\/a> has continued its progress in the<a href=\"https:\/\/magazine.qs.com\/qs-insights-magazine-30\/qs-wur-2026-supplement?utm_campaign=24890605-IP%20QS%20World%20University%20Rankings%202026&amp;utm_source=QS%20WUR%202026%20launch%20home%20page%20banner&amp;utm_medium=Rankings%20supplement&amp;utm_term=link%20to%20QSIM%20supplement&amp;utm_content=QS%20World%20University%20Rankings%202026%20LAUNCH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> QS World University Rankings for 2026<\/a> for the second consecutive year, advancing by 28 positions to reach 334th place globally.<\/p>\n<p>This marks a new achievement for the University, reflecting its ongoing efforts to enhance performance and ensure continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 1,503 universities were included in the latest QS ranking, out of 8,467 universities worldwide, with 112 new universities added to the list.<\/p>\n<p>The University recorded clear progress in indicators such as academic reputation, graduate employability, research citations, and international research network.<\/p>\n<p>This underscores Sultan Qaboos University&#8217;s commitment to graduating highly qualified students and its continued focus on developing the research sector and supporting its researchers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: rtl;\"><img data-opt-id=476935031  fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-84424 size-fusion-800\" src=\"https:\/\/mlzlkxvcvliz.i.optimole.com\/cb:ghTT.1f99\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/g:sm\/f:best\/https:\/\/www.fm.gov.om\/wp-content\/uploads\/UNI-4-800x362-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Sultan Qaboos University rises to 334th place globally in the QS World University Rankings for 2026\" width=\"800\" height=\"362\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.squ.edu.om\/About\/University-Administration\/Vice-Chancellor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">His Highness Dr Fahd Alsaid, President of Sultan Qaboos University<\/a>, said: \u201cThis achievement reflects reality and is the result of the ongoing efforts and dedication to placing Sultan Qaboos University among the world\u2019s leading institutions across various fields.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It also represents the leadership we strive for in enhancing the quality of education, and fulfils one of the goals of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oman2040.om\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Oman Vision 2040<\/a>.
