Arab leaders affirmed that the Iraqi initiatives presented during the summit reflect a comprehensive vision for addressing shared challenges and offer a dynamic starting point to develop joint Arab action towards development, stability, and prosperity.<\/p>\n
In the Baghdad Declaration issued at the conclusion of the summit and the fifth Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, also held in Baghdad, leaders praised these initiatives as a vital foundation for advancing collective Arab action and embodying solidarity and integration among Arab states.<\/p>\n
The declaration highlighted Iraq\u2019s launch of several initiatives, foremost among them the establishment of the Arab Fund to Support Recovery and Reconstruction from the Effects of Crises. The Iraqi government announced a donation of 40 million US dollars to the fund \u2014 20 million allocated to humanitarian aid and reconstruction in Gaza, and 20 million for reconstruction efforts in Lebanon.<\/p>\n
The Baghdad Declaration also welcomed Iraq\u2019s invitation to participate in the \u201cDevelopment Road\u201d project, describing it as a strategic initiative linking Arab countries to global markets. It contributes to regional economic integration and includes a broad plan for Arab economic reform over the next decade. This aims to create a competitive, integrated Arab economic space, strengthen public-private partnerships, and uphold social justice and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n
