His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik<\/a> received Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Sharjah<\/a>, at Al Alam Palace.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the guest, praising the deep-rooted and close ties between the two brotherly countries.<\/p>\n

The two leaders reviewed areas of cooperation, particularly in the cultural, scientific and historical fields.<\/p>\n

His Majesty underlined the importance of enhancing and developing these areas in a way that serves the interests of both countries.<\/p>\n

The Ruler of Sharjah expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Majesty for the warm welcome and generous hospitality he received, expressing his great pleasure at this visit.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Minister of Diwan of the Royal Court, Sayyid Khalid Albusaidi, and Head of the Private Office, Dr Hamad Alaufi.<\/p>\n

From Sharjah, it was attended by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority<\/a>, Ambassador Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman,<\/a> and Abdullah Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in the Emirate of Sharjah.<\/p>\n
